John explains why sometimes what is left out of a document management system is more important than what is included. For instance, a defender in court may need to prove what is, or is not, on the reverse side of a document.
According to John, when agreeing an SLA with a document capture contractor, consider the fact that scanning blank pages can be much less costly in the long run. Also, retaining the original scanned images may also be worthwhile.
