According to Nick, on the surface there’s not much reason why a company that develops Electronic Data Capture solutions is represented on a Document Management (DM) discussion platform like thedmcollaborators.
However, look at the parallels. DM is about digitising and properly capturing business information, which is the kind of work EDC specialists are doing as well. The difference is in the direction of approach – the DM practitioners are automating the back office, while EDC practitioners are in the field helping to record important data.
Nick anticipates projects coming along where DM and EDC can combine forces and offer ways for organisations to radically redesign their workflow.
